Guam was hit by Super Typhoon Mawar at category-4 strength, with wind speeds reaching 150 mph. Many of the residents, including Adventist Church members, sustained damages to their properties, including residences, vehicles, and belongings. Even some of the items stocked at local church ACS (Adventist Community Services) storages were lost in the storm.
GMM organizations, including our headquarter offices, churches, and school, suffered damages and will need to be repaired or rebuilt. To continue with operations of these ministries, many are in need of supplies.
The island faces many difficulties during recovery. There is an island-wide power outage, as well as water outages across the island. As people line up to fill gas containers for their generators, they are facing lines of up to eight-hours long, with gas stations often closing before they reach the pump.
Please consider generously donating funds to help us provide for the basic necessities of the people on Guam and for the Adventist Church's mission.
