It’s one of the wettest places on earth! With up to 300 inches of rainfall each year in the mountainous regions, you definitely want an umbrella when you go out in Pohnpei! With all the gray days, there is some sunshine in the air.
JOY FM has been on the air in Pohnpei since 2019, sharing joy to the people of this rain-drenched tropical paradise. And even though it rains a lot, there is enough sunshine to help power our radio station with some solar power. This helps keep our monthly expenses low on an island where electrical power is extremely expensive.
The solar system also keeps the station on the air through power outages. Unfortunately, the batteries don’t last forever and they are now in need of replacing. Lots of lives are being touched by this radio station. We need your assistance to purchase a new battery pack for JOY FM Pohnpei.
We need to raise $6,000 for a new battery pack for our Pohnpei radio station. Thank you for helping us reduce the power bill and carry the three angels’ messages across Pohnpei!
